Protection of the environment is a vital and universal task for humankind.
Planet Earth as a whole is a precious and irreplaceable gift, and it is
up to each individual to preserve that gift by keeping our planet healthy.
Through its company activities, Rion aims to make contributions towards
ensuring people's healthy and cultural life, and simultaneously towards
the social welfare of mankind by providing such products and services as
being beneficial to humans, society and the environment.

2009 Environmental Policy
The aspect our group of companies aims to attain is a "contribution to the realization of social progress and a conformable life, and improvements in global environmental issues, as well as become a business group of companies which continuously earns trust from society and progress". For this purpose also, environmental management activities are regarded as one of the management subjects of prime importance.

Reduction of environmental loads
Promoting development of products with the least loads burdening the environment and squarely recognizing and evaluating environmental impact on the environment incidental to every stage of the company's business activities such as component procurement, manufacturing, marketing and servicing products up to disposal of waste, environmental loads shall be reduced both inside and outside the company. |

Repletion and enhancement of environmental management activities
Quantified environmental objectives and environmental targets shall be established, and an operational strategy shall be decided and carried out by explicitly determining the measure, responsibilities and timeframe. In addition, continuous improvements in administering the environmental activities shall be tackled by making timely review. |

Compliance with laws and regulations
All laws, regulations and requirements regarding environmental protection as well as all other requirements accepted by the company shall be closely complied with. |

Prevention of global warming
CO2 reduction shall be tackled by effective use of resources such as the reuse of waste materials, reduction of waste discharge, and recycling of waste materials. |

Conservation of the environment of local communities
The company shall participate in the environmental activities of local communities, clean neighboring areas, clip trees and maintain the assets of greenery and fauna on its premises in good conditions to contribute to conservation of the environment including its local communities.

This environment policy will be disseminated among all employees and throughout group companies, suppliers, customers and other external stakeholders with the desire that they cooperate with our environmental management activities.
