@Hearing disorders are classified into conductive hearing loss, sensorineural hearing loss, and mixed hearing loss. The degree of hearing loss can be divided into four groups, namely mild, moderate, severe, and profound.

Conductive hearing loss
This is caused by a disorder in the section of the ear that transmits sound from the outside to the hearing organs. Because nerve functions are not affected, sound can be made easier to understand by increasing its volume.
Sensorineural hearing loss
This refers to a disorder that is located in the middle and inner ear sections where sound reaches the auditory nerve and is transmitted to the brain. It can lead to a condition where low-level sounds are difficult to hear but loud sounds will cause discomfort. Speech understanding may also be impaired.
Mixed hearing loss
This is a mixture of the two types of hearing loss described above.
