Some groups are associated with hearing impair-ment, while others are associated with hearing aids. While all six groups matter, self-awareness among the hearing impaired and financial assistance for acquiring hearing aids are believed to be the keys to increasing hearing aid use.Thirty-ve goals have been set for scenes and situations in our everyday lives that involve hearing aids. Among them, for example, conversing during bath time is already possible through the feature of waterproong. Demand for fashion aspects has been achieved with compact models in a variety of designs that are already available. By 2030, when all 35 goals are realized, the everyday lives of those with a hearing impairment will be dramatically transformed.As early as 2014, Rion envisioned the ideal form of hearing aids in 2030 and began seeking to realize that vision. Here I’ll introduce some of our achieve-ments to date as we approach 2022, the midpoint of our endeavor.Yoshiyuki NarisawaTechnical Development Center.
