Kaken Test CenterGeneral Incorporated Foundation (KAKEN)The Japan Synthetic Textile Inspection Institute Foundation, KAKEN’s predecessor, was founded in 1948. Kaken is certified by the Japan National Laboratory Accreditation (JNLA) and is known as an international testing laboratory with test facilities that comply with ISO/IEC 17025 and with facilities with ISO 9001 certification. KAKEN performs tests and inspections for a wide range of materials, from textiles to leather, paper, resins, and industrial materials. With the explosion in demand for masks at the outset of the Covid pandemic, the center performed JIS T 9001 compliance tests on masks, which contributed immeasurably to our safety and security.KC-22B airborne particle counterWith the adoption of a semiconductor laser-pumped solid-state laser as its light source, this airborne particle counter has an long service life. Its minimum measurable particle diameter is 0.08 µm. It’s in high demand as an instrument for hard disk or spindle motor dust inspections and for measurements in high concentration environments. Measurements can be automated using a computer; hard copies of the results can be printed from an optional printer.15
