By showing the front view on the front cover and the intricate mechanics on the back cover, I aimed to con-vey the instrument's serene, detached demeanor—as though it were calmly observing and manipulating the unseen world in pursuit of truth. What lies behind the act of measurement is a never-ending quest for certainty, something that can’t be perceived by the human eye. I created this artwork while re-flecting on the kindness and integrity that humans imbue in the technologies they develop—qualities I sense in this quietly operating instrument.Yusuke Kitajima (woodblock artist)Completed the graduate course in block printing at Musashino Art University in 2014. His distinctive approach—taking famil-iar everyday items as subjects—combines the techniques of woodblock printing and monotyping to create a single unique print.I visited a hearing aid center for the interview featured in the TALES OF RION section. Due to space constraints, we couldn’t report on all the details, but the sincere approach to hearing aid sales and the unique insights from those on the frontline deeply impressed me. During the visit, I also chatted with other staff members (not named in the article) and received feedback on past issues of the Rion Technical Journal as well as ideas for future content. I hope RTJ continues to deepen the connection between RION and our readers. I invite you to take a look. (Isobe)Starting with this issue, I have joined the editorial board of Rion Technical Journal. As a reader, I’ve always enjoyed RTJ and recommend it to others outside the company. Being involved in its production process as a member of the editorial committee gives an even clearer understanding of where RTJ comes from: from planning to publication, it’s the result of the sincere efforts of ma-ny people. In this issue, I was responsible for the Because We’re Science and Math Lovers section. This was a truly valuable experience, one that gave me a glimpse into the depth of particle measurement technology, a field that differs markedly from the acoustics and vibration domain in which I have worked throughout my career.
